We do not intentionally collect special personal information (e.g., health, race, religion, biometric data, criminal history) through our Site, and we ask that you do not submit such information via our contact or quote forms.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you use our “Get a Quote” form or contact us via the Site, we collect:
- Your name;
- Your email address;
- Your phone number (optional);
- The service required (e.g., minor service, major service, mechanical failure, diagnostic test);
- Vehicle make and model;
- A description of the issue or request you provide; and
- Any other information you choose to include in your message.
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our Site, we may automatically collect:
- Your IP address, where provided or logged as part of standard web server / form-submission functionality;
- Browser type, device type, and general usage data, via Google Analytics (see Section 5).
We do not operate any e-commerce checkout, online booking system, or newsletter sign-up on this Site. The only form on the Site that collects personal information is the quote/contact form described above.
4. How and Why We Use Your Information
We process your personal information for the following purposes, and only where a lawful basis under POPIA applies:

5.1 Google Analytics

5.2 Akismet (Anti-Spam)
We use Akismet, provided by Automattic Inc., to help filter spam submissions from our forms. Akismet may process data such as your IP address, submitted content, and browser information to determine whether a submission is spam. This data may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
5.3 Cloudflare Turnstile
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our Site and forms from bots and automated abuse. Turnstile may process your IP address and certain device/browser signals to verify that you are a human visitor. This data may be processed by Cloudflare, Inc. outside South Africa.
We rely on these third parties as operators acting on our instruction, and we have taken reasonable steps to ensure they maintain appropriate security safeguards.
6. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your personal information with:
- Service providers who assist us in operating our Site and business (e.g., Google, Automattic/Akismet, Cloudflare, our website hosting provider, and our accountant/bookkeeper), strictly for the purposes described in this policy;
- Law enforcement or government authorities, where required or permitted by law, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our customers or others.
We attempt to notify individuals of legal demands for their information where appropriate and lawful to do so, and may challenge requests we believe are overbroad or improperly issued, though we do not guarantee we will do so in every case.
7. Cross-Border Information Transfers
Some of the third-party service providers referred to in Section 5 (Google Analytics, Akismet, Cloudflare) are based outside South Africa, and your information (including your IP address) may accordingly be processed on servers located outside the country.
Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure that such third parties apply a level of data protection that is substantially similar to the protections afforded under POPIA, including relying on the third parties’ own compliance frameworks (such as the GDPR, Privacy Shield successor frameworks, or standard contractual protections) where applicable.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information collected via our quote/contact form only for as long as necessary to:
- Respond to and fulfil your enquiry or quote request;
- Comply with our legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations; and/or
- Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
Once these purposes have been fulfilled and there is no legal requirement to retain the information further, we will securely delete or anonymise it.
9. Security
We have implemented reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. Access to personal information is limited to those who need it for legitimate business purposes and is subject to confidentiality obligations.
While we take reasonable steps to secure your information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children’s Privacy
Our Site and services are intended for use by adults seeking vehicle servicing and repairs. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without the consent of a parent or guardian.
